Mumz Insect Repellent Garden Apparel

Thanks to Mumz, now you don’t have to worry about spraying oily or stinky insect repellent on your body before you head out to the garden. The group at Mumz Garden carry a full line of insect repellent Garden Apparel. Yes, clothing to fight off those flying pests while you toil away bite free.

Ranging from bandanas, canvas gloves, hats, aprons, socks, shirts and pants, Mumz incorporates an EPA registered insect repellent into the fibers of it’s clothing. The secret weapon used is Buzz Off Insect Shield, the synthetic form of permethrin.

Mumz claims the insect repellent clothing is effective protection against mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers, and midges. The question we had at Repellent Review was: How long would the insect repellent last? Well, according to Buzz Off, the deterrent will last through about 25 washings. With their bandanas ranging from $10 and Mumz gloves $18, we didn’t think that was too bad. Mumz socks are priced around $13. Their most expensive items are long sleeve shirts and pants ranging from $50-$60.

With insect repellents ranging from $5-$15, we like the idea Mumz has developed. The insect repellent clothing would hold up around 2 years depending on how hard you use them. That’s equivalent to non-treated clothing. The EPA registration does indicate that the clothing should be laundered separately, and is not to be dry-cleaned.
